Karen Vaughn Exits HOT 105 Miami
Dear Friends, Colleagues & Loyal Listeners,
I wanted to take this opportunity to make you aware that due to consolidation - resulting from the current economic climate - Karen Vaughn is no longer employed with HOT 105 as its midday personality.
For over seven years, Karen was our very own "Working Diva..Working Radio." She was an uplifting voice for women of all races. She was the sista girlfriend that we tuned in to each day for inspiration, encouragement and laughter. A mother, wife, on-air talent and radio executive - Karen did it all and is a modern day "superwoman." Her unfortunate and untimely departure from HOT 105 will leave a tremendous void in this market. Karen was and is a true champion of women, children and families and her presence on South Florida radio and in our community will be greatly missed. I know that you join me in wishing Karen and her family continued good health, prosperity and success.

It is with a grieving heart knowing that I will no longer hear you radio, interact at outings you host or just be encourage by you. I know it was a job, but you actually took it to different level for me. As women you made a difference and I know you encourage other women to be assured they could accomplish any thing without limitations. You may not remember me, but I use to send you prayer emails when you gave birth to Cameron during the trying times. I won the diva spa contest before, the 105 on the dollar bill, I went to the diva getaway, we like unrelated family. Take care and I don’t if you have something already, but I do know that God is able and he has not brought you this far to leave you. Be bless and continue to look to the hills from which cometh your help your help comes from the Lord……

Not cause you're my homegirl but I can honestly say that you are easily, in my opinion, in the top 2% of quality radio personalities I have ever heard. God is my witness on that. At the least, I am in total shock of this disappointing news.
You have been a true inspiration to not only me, but to all of the women that I know who are true working diva's in their own right. I am insulted as a woman, that the Cox Radio group did not recognize the true genuine gem that was in their presence for the past 7+ years.
I wish you the many blessings you deserve and may God forever direct your path...this is merely just a pebble that made you stumble and but not fall. You have the gift, just stir it up!
